Terrific Response

We are having a terrific response to our Independence Day event so please bear with us as we catch up and respond to your inquiries. Invitations will be sent out in time for the event. An invitation is not required to get in but it gets you a discount on the out of region entry fee if you live outside the parks region. (See side bar for more info.) Otherwise the event is entirely free.

Bring a couple of extra signs if you can to share, and keep the message simple about taxes, spending, borrowing or regulation.

What is REALLY coming America.

Great to see so many at the Tea Party, a bit damp wasn't it! The rain may have kept a lot of people away but the fact so many did turn up in the appalling conditions speaks to the depth of concern by the people.

Concerned you should be reader. With all due respect, if you have not lived in a Socialist society you really do not know what is coming at you. You will only find out after the fact, how Socialism is an insidious plague which will under mine your basic principals of every day life.

How is it I can make this statement? because I have lived the Socialist nightmare in England where I grew up. I moved here to the USA twenty four years ago to get away from the gathering storm clouds of a Socialist England and now here it comes to America.
I was very fortunate in that I have dual nationality, so I could come and go as I pleased.

I have never in my life openly protested anything. On the contrary I have been in 'The Thin Blue Line' between the protesters and common sense. I have served as a Police Constable in London in the mid seventies and as a Deputy Sheriff here in Northen Virginia until 12/27/07 when i was unceremoniously not reappointed by the 'good ole boy' Sheriff of Fauquier County.

My brief Resume is to tell you, the reader that I am SO worried about the future here in the USA that I am compelled to act.

If you allow it the Government will become such a massive part of your everday life. Take a look at the Brit press on line. Study the articles that highlight how insane life has become for the average person in England. Do you know there are 'Garbage Police'!! yep, local authorities appoint inspectors to travel ahead of the garbage trucks to check that garbage containers are positioned on the sidewalk excatly as designated by the authority and that the lids of the containers are not open so as to allow flies in. If a bin is found to be not in the exact spot and/or with the top open even an inch a $100 fine is issued to the home owner on the spot!! How insane is that?

The National Health system is a shambles. DO NOT get sick in England, it may well be some time before you get to see a doctor depending on your malady.

I could go on and on. My point is, this big government coupled with the move to Socialsim is, in my humble opinion the worst thing to happen to America since the Civil War. This time the devastation will be total.

Do not be complacent people. Keep in contact with like minded people. Voice your opinion, talk to friends, work associates 'keep the kettle boiling'. If we don't we will only have ourselves to blame when we can no longer be free as we were five months ago.

The worst is yet to come.

Northern Virginia Tea Parties experienced larger than expected numbers at their events at Merrilfield Post Office and at Baron Cameron Park. this is stunning in light of the day long downpour and the the fact that the Reston event had to be moved at the very last moment. There was a certain sternness that the protesters at Merrifield displayed in realization that the Federal Government spending had to held in check or America will be a much poorer country in the coming years. America's Tea Party Movement is vital element in the restoration of common sense to America's governance.

Merrifield Tax Day Tea Party Protesters Brave Dounpour to Reject Out of Control Goventment Spending

Protesters lined both sides of Lee highway at the Merrifield Post Office rejecting the mad money borrowing and spending of the Obama Administration.

According to organizers of the Northern Virginia Tax Day Tea Party, the event was attended by over 350 citizens who are outraged by the mad money spending by the Federal government by the Democrat controlled Congress under the Bush and Obama Administrations. They lined both sides of Lee highway in front of the postal complex. The demonstrators stood firm despite being battered by the continuous heavy rainfall, many dressed in rain wear and still needing an umbrella. The demonstrators spent over two and a half hours in the down pour holding signs like "US Out of GM" and "Stop the Mad Money Spending," chanting STOP (left side of road) SPENDING. Organizers were only expecting 25 people, but to their surprise 350 showed uup despite the heavy downpour and unfavorable location (inconvenient parking). the heavy turnout is evidence of the strong feelings of the general public about the level and direction of Federal spending. The event was not without comic relief, however, two lonely counter protesters sported a sign that said, "I (heart) Titties." Which they explained as their feeling that women were under represented in Congress. Not sure whether they got their point across.

Update Merrifield Tax Day Tea Party

Greetings Fellow Patriots:

We will be meeting for the Merrifild Post Office Tax Day Tea Party at the area marked demonstration area A at 4:30pm, other areas are for the contingency of a large crowd, please park at the Merrifield Plaza on Gallows Road and walk over. Wear sturdy shoes as we will be standing on the grass. You will not be able to park near the post office. please make your own appropriate Tax Day Tea Party hand held sign. Suggestions below, short and big is better. Do not carry your sign on a stake. Please exercise great caution when crossing the streets as the traffic in that area will be heavy. I need two volunteers to act as marshals, please respond by reply to this email.
