Tea Parties on the 4th of July across America protest President Obama's policies.
I went to the Merrifield event. I'm really glad that I did. There were quite a few people there. We yelled "STOP" "SPENDING" across Lee Highway with part of the crowd on the other side of the street. Many people waved and honked as they went by. For pouring down cold rain, the turnout was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThe focus of the tea party has thus far been on the Federal Gov't. What about local governments like Fairfax County who have been using our money to harass and overregulate our lives and have officials who disregard their citizens?
ReplyDeleteActually, we do both, we have GrassRoots Action Planning Luncheons where we discus ways that we can have an impact on public policy. When we met in Loudoun, our planned action, a demonstration at the Loudoun BOS meeting made the papers and we are planning to testify at the Fairfax BOS budget hearings.
